Mark has lived on the Gold Coast most of his life. He commenced his legal career in 1976, taking a break for a number of years to pursue a sporting career.
Mark was admitted as a Solicitor in 1987 and has practised as a Principal since October 1990. The firm’s vigorous pursuit of quality assurance/accreditation is driven by Mark so that the firm can assure clients of the best quality service.
Mark’s client base ranges from commercial/residential property developers to “mums and dads”.
He prides himself on establishing long term relationships with clients.

David Lobbezoo

David was admitted as a Solicitor in Victoria in 1981 and in Queensland in 1987. From 1997 to 2008 he was a Sole Practitioner at Burleigh Waters. While initially this was a general practice David increasingly focussed on Commercial and Property matters.
With over 20 years service to the legal industry, David's in depth knowledge of the processes involved in property and business conveyancing is what our Firm is about. His attention to detail and timely attendance to critical dates is a credit to him, and his exceptional understanding of his clients' personal circumstances and commitment to achieving the best result for them, have given him a distinguished reputation.

Mal Chalmers

Mal has lived all of his adult life on the Gold Coast. He commenced law as an Articled Law Clerk in 1976 and was admitted to practice as a Solicitor in March 1981. Mal immediately went into practice as a Sole Practitioner in Palm Beach and continued to practice for almost 28 years until the end of February 2009. He was also admitted to practice in New South Wales in 1988 and has practiced in both Queensland and New South Wales since that date.
One of the reasons Mal has chosen to merge with Reaburn Solicitors is to take advantage of the infrastructure in place thereby enabling his clients to gain access to a wider range of legal services all under the one roof.

Joelene Seaton

Joelene joined our firm in July 2010. She holds a dual degree in Law and International Business from Griffith University. Since her admission as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia in 2005, Joelene has worked exclusively in Family Law. She has extensive experience in negotiation, mediation and litigation and enjoys bringing these skills to bear on complex property and parenting cases.

Paul Stockley

Paul joined our firm in May 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canberra and is in his final semester studying a Juris Doctor and Practical Legal Training Course at Griffith University.
Paul will be admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in December 2011. Paul works closely with Mark in our Wills and Estates Section.

Julie is our part time receptionist working Monday to Thursday. She commenced work with our firm in April 2006.
Julie has worked for a legal firm in Taree for 7 years and a financial advisor/accountant in Armidale for 3 years. She has returned to the workforce after raising 2 children for the past 6 years.

Karen is the firm's Conveyancing Clerk and undertakes the procedural requirements in relation to conveyance and property matters.
She has worked in the legal profession since 1986 and has been with Reaburn Solicitors since 1994.

Belinda Gray

Belinda joined the firm in September 2007. She worked part time as a WP Operator and then went on maternity leave in June 2008. Belinda returned to the firm in January 2009 as a part time Family Law Personal Assistant. She has worked in various legal offices in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and London for many years and has gained a sound understanding in many areas of law.

She has commenced a Traineeship in Business at our firm. She works part time on reception and is a Junior Personal Assistant in the Wills and Estate Section.

Karen joined our firm in June 2008 and works in our Word Processing Section. She has worked in various legal offices on the Gold Coast predominantly as a Legal Word Processing Operator for many years.

Maria joined our firm at the beginning of 2004 in the role of head of our Computer/Word Processing Section. She has worked in various legal firms on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Auckland acquiring knowledge in all areas of law. Maria is responsible for the development and maintenance of our precedents system.

Louise Young

Louise is our Practice Manager and has been with the firm since April 2000. She began her working life as a Speech Therapist and since then has worked in a number of different roles. Louise looks after the daily operations of Reaburn Solicitors overseeing accounts, securities, quality of service and client care. Any problems in these areas can be addressed to her.
